The Bali Buddhist Community

The Bali Buddhist Community (BBC) is an International  non-denominational Buddhist organization that is governed by the principles of peace, compassion, and tolerance. Our mission is to support those on a journey of awakening and realization of those principles in one’s life through the elements of practice, study and sangha.
We offer weekly morning and evening practice sessions and host occasional Buddhist events.
Arrange dharma talks by inviting or visiting Buddhist Masters, practitioners and scholars; provide Chaplaincy services for Buddhists.
It is our hope that any seeker may find and make a way within the BBC community, and it is our intention that our community benefit not only its members but also Bali other communities as all Indonesian Buddhist communities.

Buddhayana is a term for a more authentic, progressive, tolerant, and inclusive Buddhism. Buddhayana calls on using the wisdom from all the traditions in a syncretic way, but without sacrificing the authenticity of the Dhamma. It typically calls for adaptations to fit with the modern world, which arguably keeps the Dhamma alive since the Buddha gave several teachings on skillful means, abolishing minor training rules if necessary, and adapting to local customs and language. Much of these ideas have since been incorporated in Modern Theravada.

Welcome! Our temple is situated in Seminyak a very beautiful part of South Bali that brings together many unique international cultures and traditions from the past and present.
Our temple was just finished to build in 2007 and start to become an important center of the local and international Buddhist community activities in Bali, with monks from all different Buddhist tradition coming to give teaching here.
The temple is open to every Buddhist and everyone for meditation, ceremonies or teaching.
